Map Info
A map of Yggdrasil, the world tree, and the nine realms. The Three Wells are left out, as is the Bifrost for depiction purposes. The original is ink and illustration marker on watercolor paper, 15 x 22. Prints are available at full size, but also scaled down to traditional sizes for ease of framing.
Artist's Note
The Last Light of the Sun, by Guy Gavriel Kay, describes a villain thusly, "As cold as the black snake that would crush the Worldtree at the end of days and destroy its roots with venom." This line haunted me, and I could not complete this map without including a small black snake twined around the lowest roots.
